Privacy Policy

Effective July 29, 2026 · Fretbound ("the app"), operated by Landon Newberry

The short version

Fretbound stores your practice history so it can schedule your practice. The microphone is used only by the tuner, entirely on your device — audio is never recorded, stored, or sent anywhere. We don't sell data, and there are no ads.

What we collect

The microphone

The iOS app's tuner listens while you tune. The audio signal is analyzed on your device, in memory, and discarded — it is never recorded, never stored, and never transmitted, and nothing about it becomes part of your practice record. Microphone access is optional: it is requested only when you open the tuner, and every drill is answered by touch.

Where data lives

Practice data and preferences are stored with Supabase (hosted in the United States), protected by row-level security so your records are readable only by your account. Authentication is handled by Auth0. Subscription state is handled by RevenueCat. Each of these processors sees only what it needs to do its job.

What we don't do

If any of this ever changes, this policy will change first and the app will say so plainly.

Deleting your data

Email landonnewberry@gmail.com from your account's address and ask. Your account and all associated practice data will be deleted. Subscriptions are managed and canceled through your Apple ID settings.

Children

Fretbound is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
